Weddings/Hand Fastings
Home Up

There are occasions when people follow no particular faith or, perhaps those wishing to come together are of different faiths/cultures and would like a ceremony that reflects and honours these differences.  As an Interfaith Minister it is my joy to create a ceremony, taking readings, prayers and music that resonate with your own hearts and composing a sacred ceremony - where you may uniquely exchange your own personal vows ..... in a place that feels special to you.

Central to these Ceremonies are your own vows to each other, which I can help you to create, so that the whole ceremony is uniquely and deeply meaningful to you both - something you will remember for the rest of your lives.  I do like to create events with a difference and have lots of ideas!   The photo to the right was taken at a Hand Fasting Ceremony in the Drakensberg Mountains in South Africa last summer, celebrating with a mixture of Africaan and English traditions - seamlessly held together with deeply spiritual and mystical elements.

Interfaith Wedding or Hand-Fasting Ceremonies are especially purposeful for those

  •     wishing to celebrate the joining together of two people according to their own personal beliefs

  •     who would like to join together in a place that is special to them and in their own way

  •     of mixed faiths wishing to unite their families in a respectful, honouring and uniquely personal way

NB: Legalized Wedding ceremonies still need the attendance of a Registrar, which can be organized.  This applies to most marriage ceremonies held outside of the Christian faith.
